At Midwestern Pet Foods, we believe in making a difference that extends beyond the bowl. MPF Cares is our heartfelt initiative that embodies our commitment to environmental sustainability, charitable giving, and community outreach. Just as we’ve been feeding families for generations through quality pet nutrition, we’re now extending our care to pets in need, our environment, and the broader community.
Our MPF to the Rescue® program is at the forefront of our mission to help all pets, regardless of where they call home. Since the beginning of 2024, we’ve donated an incredible 149,038 pet food meals to animal shelters nationwide. But we don’t stop at food donations - we encourage our employees to volunteer at local animal shelters and humane societies, creating a ripple effect of compassion in our communities.
We’re proud partners with the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, supporting military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty. A portion of all sales from our Sportmix, CanineX, Ultimates & Wholesomes products goes directly to providing college scholarships and educational counseling for these brave young individuals.
Our UPCs for Trees program, in partnership with Trees for the Future, is turning empty bags into forests. For every UPC returned from Earthborn Holistic products, we plant a tree in deforested areas worldwide. This initiative not only helps the environment but also supports families by creating forest gardens and pathways out of poverty.
The Earthborn ReBorn Recycling Program is our commitment to sustainability in action. In partnership with TerraCycle®, we’ve diverted over 201,836 pounds of pet food bag waste from landfills since 2015. That’s equivalent to the weight of 1,614,688 tennis balls - now that’s a lot of fetch!
